Thermal Analysis


The roads are light in color because they are warmer then the surrounding areas.
The vegetation is darker and thus cooler then the streets.
Sidewalks are almost the same as roads because they are similar material.
The storage sheds are the same as roof tops, they are designed to reflect heat not absorb it.
The cars look like small dark spots because they cool quickly, except the ones that were recently driven, they have a bright spot in the front.
The bright spots on the roofs are the chmneys expelling the heat from the furnaces.

Problems With Viewing Aerial Photos










The problems with viewing this IR photo are the color reversals. One might mistake things differently if they are untrained as how to interperate the IR colors in this photo. They may think it is fall or winter because all the trees look red but they are really green.
