Thermal Analysis

The roads are light in color because they are warmer then the surrounding areas.

The vegetation is darker and thus cooler then the streets.

Sidewalks are almost the same as roads because they are similar material.

The storage sheds are the same as roof tops, they are designed to reflect heat not absorb it.

The cars look like small dark spots because they cool quickly, except the ones that were recently driven, they have a bright spot in the front.

The bright spots on the roofs are the chmneys expelling the heat from the furnaces.

Problems With Viewing Aerial Photos

The problems with viewing this IR photo are the color reversals. One might mistake things differently if they are untrained as how to interperate the IR colors in this photo. They may think it is fall or winter because all the trees look red but they are really green.

Wind Farm Location

I would place my wind farm off the coast of the St Joseph area. With the wind farm being off the coast it will not disturbe the local population as much as it would being on land. The wind blows very strong in this area because it has no obstructions coming off the lake. There are pleanty of highways near for shipping. There is a marina and a chanel to keep the boats and barges in while construction is in progress. Threre are some bird populations in the area but the size of the wind farm is not expected to effect the birds to greatly. I am excited to place the wind farm at this location for many reasons, it will serve the communites surrounding it very well for many years.I would place my wind farm off the coast of the St Joseph area. Good map, Bad map

I think this cartoon map is an example of a bad map for several reasons. There is no sense of scale or distance between things. There is no north arrow or legend. The map is very cluttered and there are no street names on this map.

This is a trail map of Winter Park mountain in Colorado. I think this is a good map because it shows everything that is important to the user of the mountain. It lets the skier see the difficulty of each trail, where they can warm up if needed, get food, and get medical attention if needed.

Where I want to work

I want to work out west in the mountain states because I like outdoor sports like rafting, biking, and hiking. My family is in Pennsylvania so i am not opposed to moving somewhere on the east coast to be closer to them. The center of the country is too flat and dose not appeal to me.
